Around twenty teams entered the competition last year, and judges and VIPs alike were highly impressed by the quality of the pupils' work that was shown through car designs, portfolios, verbal presentations (which included fantastic multimedia features), and team merchandise and sponsorship.

Among the personalities attending the event was Denford boss Andrew Denford (left), founder of the original F1inSchools competition. With him was local Parliamentarian Andrew Robothan, who came along to try his hand with the CO2-powered vehicles.
